Dick Strawbridge

Dick Strawbridge & Angel Adoree

After leaving the army, Dick had a successful career as a Programme Manager, and then trouble shooter, for a large multinational company before becoming a full-time television presenter and author. He is a man of many interests, some of which are reflected in his successful and varied television career. He hit our television screens with ScrapHeap Challenge and subsequent credits include It’s Not Easy Being Green, Celebrity Masterchef, and Hungry Sailors. 2015 took Dick across the pond to film Dirty Rotten Survival in America for National Geographic, whilst filming Escape to the Chateau for Channel 4. Other TV work include Trainspotters, Biggest Little Railway and Cabins in the Wild with Dick Strawbridge and this year is Dick’s 5th series of Escape to the Chateau!

Angel is a 1940s vintage-clad redhead from East London. She is the founder of The Vintage Patisserie, a glamorous hospitality company, and is author of the best-selling ‘Vintage Tea Party’ series which touched the hearts of many a vintage enthusiasts. Humble beginnings and hard work have secured Angel coverage in nearly every glossy and national newspaper and the fashion pack that have her on speed dial – Paul Smith, Kim Jones, Cutler and Gross, and Liberty’s, to name-drop a few.

Rob Forkan

The unique history of Gandys begins with a trip halfway around the world, when the Forkan family sold everything they owned to explore and volunteer around the world together. After tragically losing their parents in the devastating Tsunami in Sri Lanka as teenagers on Boxing Day 2004, Rob with his brother Paul later founded Gandys (travellers fashion brand) in order to support their Orphans for Orphans foundation. Not only do Rob and Paul donate 10 per cent of their profits to helping underprivileged children that are affected by the Tsunami by building children’s homes across the world, they also have 3 stores in central London and multiple pop ups throughout the year.

MC Supernatural & Mads Korsgaar

An odd international duo – the Danish psychologist Mads Korsgaard and American hip-hop legend MC Supernatural in a brand new collaboration. Based on the science of psychology, Mads and MC Supernatural have developed an untraditional mixture of academia and freestyle rap to demonstrate the mechanisms of creative thinking – the foundation of all human innovation. Their equally thought-provoking and entertaining “lecture-shows” explore exciting issues such as the associative basis of novel ideas, how constraints can facilitate invention and the neuropsychological secrets behind the famous flow state. The remarkable couple provide a concrete understanding of creative thinking and innovation and inspire the audience to exploit their own innate idea generating machinery. MC Supernatural is known to be one of the best freestyle rap artists alive. His impressive ability to improvise rap lyrics on the spot has taken him all over the planet. In 2006 he broke the world record for the longest continuous freestyle rap, when he freestyled for more than 9 hours in a row.


Millie Kendall MBE - Keynote & Panel Speaker

During her career as a retail maven and brand creator Millie Kendall has been instrumental in the success of cult brands including Shu Uemura, Aveda, Tweezerman, L’Occitane and Ruby & Millie. In 2007 Millie was awarded an MBE for services to the cosmetics industry. This year sees the launch of the British Beauty Council (BBC) which Millie co-founded with Anna-Marie Solowij and Kate Shapland. The BBC is a new and independent industry body which exists to raise the profile of the beauty industry. Millie holds the role of CEO on the executive board along-side an exceptional group of industry changemakers committed, to developing excellence and growth in a sector that is a significant contributor to the British economy.

Tamara Russell

DR. Tamara Russell

As a clinical psychologist, martial artist and neuroscientist, Tamara brings a unique, multiple perspective to her mindfulness teaching, therapy, and research. Her particular interest is in the embodiment of mindfulness and mindful movement and this lies at the heart of “Body In Mind Training” (BMT) program, outlined in her first book Mindfulness in Motion. Tamara’s work cuts across disciplines and sectors, bringing innovative, practical, brain-wise mindfulness training to individuals of all ages and abilities. Tamara works as a mindfulness consultant and trainer in a variety of settings including corporate, education, creative and health worldwide. Tamara is the Director of the Mindfulness Centre of Excellence, London, the organization dedicated to innovation and thought leadership in the field of mindfulness with a particular focus on creativity, technology and embodied and enacted mindfulness teaching methods.

Mark Price


Mark Price was the Managing Director of Waitrose and Deputy Chairman of the John Lewis Partnership. After over 30 years with John Lewis he went on to serve as a Minister for Trade and Investment, and later Trade Policy as a member of the House of Lords, whilst also exploring the importance of employee engagement to productivity and innovation. As well as his John Lewis, government and writing work, Mark is the Chair of Fairtrade, the body striving to ensure suppliers and workers around the world are paid fairly and treated decently. He is also the founder of Engaging Works, an online platform designed at measuring employee engagement and happiness, and using that data to improve business productivity and personal career goals.

Edward Hemmings


Global Ambassador for MyHairdressers, Creative Director & Director of Education, Alan D Hairdressing Education, Edward is a regular host and compere of industry shows and seminars and large stage presentations; working for The Fellowship For British Hairdressing, NHF, HJ, Professional Hairdresser, Modern Barber Magazine and celebrity tailor Stephen Williams. Edward became the go-to hairdressing apprenticeship spokesperson, having appeared on a number of radio broadcasts and more recently on the Victoria Derbyshire show for the BBC, organised with VTCT.


JO ROBERTSON - Panel Speaker

Brand Artists and Hair Agent, former Global Head of education for ghd and now entrepreneur Jo brings a wealth of industry knowledge and experience. Having owned her own salon and trained stylists Jo really understand the unique personas of stylists. Jo has recently launched 2 new businesses, she coaches and develops hair professionals as well as using her brand experience to develop a new way of education through the Hair Agency.



Cally Beaton is a media executive, entrepreneur and performer. At the start of her career she headed an independent television production company that was bought by ITV. She joined ITV board as both the youngest and the only woman member. She left ITV to start a creative consultancy and production company as well as joining Viacom as Senior Vice President of International Sales. Bringing humour and energy to her business insight, Cally considers the nature of the workplace and leadership culture. She looks at how to engender change (both personal and organisational), inspire teams and develop a positive, agile and inclusive environment. She also tackles the working priorities and expectations of the so-called millennial generation, and reveals how to be creative whilst keeping an eye on the bottom line.
